2nd Annual Golden Foodie Awards

The Golden Foodie Awards is pleased to
announce the 2nd annual red carpet culinary awards show celebrating
the best in local food, restaurants and chefs on September 29, 2013 at
The Fairmont Newport Beach.. The awards season will kick off in April
with a calendar of special foodie events at select restaurants and
venues throughout Orange County leading up to the glamorous Awards
night celebration.

“The opportunity to host The Golden Foodie Awards is an incredible
privilege and we look forward to honoring Orange County’s best chefs
and restaurants,” comments Karl D. Kruger, General Manager of The
Fairmont Newport Beach. “This prestigious event celebrates the
innovation and vitality of the culinary arts in Southern California.
Our chefs and catering teams promise to orchestrate an event that will
inspire and delight fellow foodies.”
Sub-Zero and Wolf showroom in Costa Mesa will present the Golden Chef
Series with showcasing top chefs in Orange County. April 25 will
feature cuisine by Chef Cathy Pavlos of Lucca Café, May 29 will
welcome Chef David Suscavage of House of Blues Anaheim, June 26
presents Chef Christian De La Vara of Bruno’s in Brea, and July 31
will showcase Chef Louie Jocson from Red Table Restaurant. All of the
Golden Chef Series events will take place from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Guests
21 and over are invited to purchase tickets and “learn how to prepare
wonderful cuisine from the pros.” All proceeds will benefit Share our
Strength, a campaign to end child hunger.
Indulge in an evening with the finest in food and fashion presented by
The District at Tustin Legacy with “Foodies and Fashionistas”
premiering on May 18. Guests will enjoy refreshing cocktails by Little
Black Dress Vodka, breads by Sadie Rose and cuisine and libations
courtesy of neighboring eateries while watching the best in glitz and
glamour strut the runway featuring The District at Tustin Legacy
fashion.
During the month of August “You Decide Who is the Best” chef,
restaurant and cuisine during the “The Golden Dine Out,” where fans
are encouraged to dine out and vote for their favorites online at
goldenfoodieawards.com. Orange County restaurants in each award
category will be participating in the month long dining event,
creating specialty “Golden Dine Out” menus at affordable prices to
encourage the public to enjoy a meal out and vote for their favorite
restaurant in the Golden Foodie Awards. The list of restaurants
participating in “The Golden Dine Out” will be available at
goldendineout.com. Three finalists per category will be announced
weekly online and the winners will be announced at the September 29
ceremony.

Foodie Awards and President of the OC Restaurant Association. “We want
to honor that unity with a season long grand celebration of everything
culinary.”
