A night of soul-satisfying Italian cuisineand Brunos classic cocktails and Italian-inspired wine list welcome you when you visit Brea’s newest dining experience, Brunos Trattoria.
From the creators of Cha Cha’s Brea,Brunos Trattoria embraces simple, rustic cooking styles as taught to Chef Peter Serantoni by his Papa Bruno, after whom the restaurant is named, and Nonna Maria. From the region on San Marco, Italy, Chef Peter’s family inspired dishes delight your palette and warm your heart. Fresh, seasonal ingredients drive the menu and are incorporated to make Brunos signature dishes along side many of your favorite Italian foods.
Brunos Menu highlights include:
Arancini ~ my personal favorite, risotto balls of ham, cheese, and herbs
Salumi Misti ~ artisanal salumi with mutard
Pappardelle Bruno ~ delicious braised short rib with wild mushrooms and housemade pappardelle
Branzino ~ an Italian classic, Mediterranean seabass with roasted potatoes and spinach
Bistecca ‘Flat Iron’ ~ grilled flat iron steak with creamy polenta and roasted cipollini onions
Dolci… desserts are not to miss:
Torte di Pesche ~ one of the best I’ve had, Fresh peaches incorporate this torte with almonds and a touch of vanilla bean gelato
Budino al Caramello ~ a delicious marriage of caramel pudding and chocolate ganache with whippped cream
Tiramisu ~ for the classic Italian in you, layers of rum, espresso soaked lady fingers with mascarpone and cocoa
No Italian-style dinner is complete without classic cocktailsand vino. Brunos features a well-rounded and affordable wine list from Primaterra Prosecco from Veneto, Casamatta Rosato from Tuscany, Joel Gott Sauvignon Blanc, Monte Antico Super Tuscan, Montelpulciano Umani Ronchi from Abruzzo, and Darcy Kent Cabernet Sauvignon. On the cocktail menu, sip the Milano Manhattan, Bitter Enemies ~ an Aperol, Campari, Vodka, Grapefruit concoction, and Amalfi Spritz, or warm up with the Hemingway ~ rum, maraschino, grapefruit and bitters. Savor Italian tradition with your selection of a variety of limoncello, grappa, amaro, sambuca and more specialty liqueurs.
