Bring your appetite for nutritional knowledge to the Healthy Eating Pavilion at California’s largest fitness event, The Los Angeles Fitness Expo.   Presented by Subway Restaurants, this exciting show with something for everyBODY is set for Saturday and Sunday, January 28-29 at the Los Angeles Convention Center, 1201 South Figueroa Street, South Halls G & H.The Healthy Eating Pavilion will feature a variety of seminars with leading experts discussing specific dietary programs to alleviate childhood obesity, autism, diabetes and more.  Live cooking demonstrations will show how to shop for and cook healthy, quick and easy meals.“We’re excited about presenting the Healthy Eating Pavilion at the Expo for the first time in 2012,” said The Los Angeles Fitness Expo Project Manager, Matthew Berman.
 “It is our goal to provide attendees with a recipe for success for achieving a healthier lifestyle.”Expert seminars will include cooking techniques to alleviate the risks of diabetes from Chef Susan Irby, one of California’s leading authorities on diet’s affect on diabetes and host of KABC Radio’s “Bikini Lifestyles”; Nutritional Therapy Practitioner Margaret Floyd, author of Eat Naked: Unprocessed, Unpolluted, and Undressed Eating for a Healthier, Sexier You sharing secrets for making healthy, unprocessed meals based on whole foods taste great; Dr. Del Millers cooking up simple and healthy 10-minute meals from his latest cookbook, Dr. Del’s Rapid Fatloss Manual and more.Several common medical issues will be addressed from a nutritional perspective.  Dr. Michael Goran, Founding Director of the USC Childhood Obesity Research Center, will speak on preventing childhood obesity; Gina LaVerde, a Reiki Master Teacher, Certified Body Ecology Coach, Medical Intuitive and Autism Activist, will share personal insights on healing her son’s autism with food, sensory and spiritual therapies; Sean Croxton, founder of Underground Wellness, will discuss his concept of self-care in order to regain or maintain superb health; Matt Stone will speak on a concept for a 180-degree turnaround to improve your health and Danny Roddy will offer a nutrition plan for reducing premature hair loss and more.Attendees will also learn about the emerging field of Ancestral Wellness based on strength and conditioning from Keith Norris and the scientifically-based Paleo Diet from Nell Stephenson.

Fourteen-year-old beekeeper, Henry Miller, shows us that it is never too early to become a successful health entrepreneur.  Miller’s company, Sweet Road to Success, offers delicious new twists on honey with flavors including Asian Spice Ginger, Chipotle & Cinnamon, and Extra Hot. A percentage of his company’s profits are donated to the Foundation for the Preservation of Honey Bees.

You don’t have to work out to enjoy The Los Angeles Fitness Expo. Attendees will find over 300 exhibits offering the newest in fitness, diet, nutrition, strength and wellness products and services. During both days of the Expo, leading fitness professionals will be present educational seminars and demonstrations. Fifteen different competitions are included in the admission price: Cross Fit, Max Reps, Strongman, etc.
