Following KCRW’s 3rd Annual Pie Contest on Sunday, September 18, 2011 from 2-4 p.m., Ray’s and Stark Bar plans to keep the party (and the dough) rolling with a custom “Pie Cocktail” by Barsmith Michel Dozois and 3-course Prix Fixe dinner by Pie Contest judge and Executive Chef Kris Morningstar. The “Pie Cocktail,” which will be revealed on the 18th, will be served all day at Stark Bar. After a day of cocktails and pie tasting, beginning at 5 p.m., diners can continue the indulgence with Ray’s 3-course Prix Fixe dinner, a feast ending with KCRW Pie-A-Day #70, Ray’s fried pie with vanilla ice cream, created by Pastry Chef Josh Graves, who was recently named Best New Pastry Chef by Angeleno Magazine.
