You don’t have to wait until Cinco de Mayo to enjoy this delicious Mexican-style dish. Super easy to make, this family favorite is perfect for mid-week meals. Make ahead of time for a quick meal for lunch or dinner.
Tijauna Turkey Torte Recipe tips! Spray 9″ square casserole dish with non-stick cooking spray prior to layering tortillas or grease the dish with a little grape seed oil (my preference).
Easy Recipe Substitutes
- Prefer beef over turkey? Use 1 pound of lean ground beef or even shredded pork
- Not a fan of cheddar cheese? Goat cheese or provolone cheese are great options
- Want more spice? Use a medium or hot salsa
- Even more spice? Add a 1/4 to 1/2 cup diced jalapeno
- When serving, garnish with chopped fresh cilantro or flat leaf parsley
