What Is Your Ideal Weight?
There’s plenty of talk about obesity and weight loss but how often is information shared on just what our ideal weight is supposed to be? Many factors such as body fat percentage, family health history, metabolism, come in to play when determining an individuals ideal weight, but general guidelines can help to understand a weight range that is healthy.
As published in the Orange County Register and the US Department of Health and Human Services, the following guidelines provide a general overview of what weight is considered ideal.

5’1″ – 5’5″
5’6″ – 5’10”
5’11” – 6’2″

100-155 pounds
118-175 pounds
130-200 pounds
150-210 pounds
Overweight
140-180 pounds
160-210 pounds
180-230 pounds
210-250 pounds
Obese
over 180 pounds
over 190 pounds
over 230 pounds
over 250 pounds
Naturally this chart will vary between men and women, your exact height, and the factors mentioned above. This is meant to give a general overview.

To burn off that slice, engage in 94 minutes of walking, 49 minutes of cycling, or 39 minutes of jogging, or 28 minutes of free style swimming. That glass of red wine – 35 minutes of walking and a 12 ounce beer – 42 minutes of walking.
