Marinated Flank Steak Pinwheels are marinated with green onion, crumbled bay leaves, Worcestershire sauce, a little garlic, seasoning, a splash of red wine and grilled.
Once marinated, the flank steak is topped with a slice of bacon, rolled up, secured with a small skewer or toothpick, and cooked with onion, spices, garlic for a tasty entree or appetizer.

Ingredients
2 pounds beef flank steak
For the Marinade:
2 cups dry red wine such as merlot
1/2 cup finely chopped green onion, green and white parts
2 bay leaves, crumbled
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 clove garlic, crushed and chopped
1 teaspoon sea salt
1 teaspoon black pepper, freshly ground preferred
Recipe part 2:
1/2 pound center cut bacon
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon sea salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/4 cup minced Italian parsley
1/4 cup finely chopped onion (white, brown, yellow or red)
(Optional)4 jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined, tail off
Instructions
Using a meat pounder, pound flank steak into 1/2-inch thickness.
Combine all Marinade ingredients and mix together well.
Place flank steak in a 9x13-inch glass baking dish and pour marinade over the steak.
Place in refrigerator overnight or up to 72 hours.
In a large skillet over medium high heat, cook bacon until almost done but NOT crisp.
Score steak (cut slightly with a knife) on both sides.
Preheat grill to medium high heat for about 15 minutes, or preheat oven to 375*.
Sprinkle steak with the garlic, salt, pepper, parsley, and onion.
Place bacon lengthwise on to the steak.
Roll up steak beginning with the narrow end.
Skewer with wooden toothpicks or bamboo skewers.
Cut into 1-inch slices and grill for 5-7 minutes until steak is cooked but not well-done.
Toss shrimp into heated skillet and cook until shrimp turn pink and are cooked through, approximately 2 minutes.
