These simple tips help increase your metabolism daily! Think of your body as a well-oiled machine. The healthier the oil, the more efficient the body. Each function of the body has a specific purpose. Eating the right foods, participating in both low and high impact activities help increase blood flow.
A healthy metabolism means achieving balance in the body. Feel better! Have more energy! Think more effectively!
Key Steps to a Stronger Metabolism

- Stay hydrated
- water is essential to a well-functioning body
- water helps regulate body temperature and flushes out toxins
- drink water AND eat water-filled foods such as cucumber, melon, celery, and tomatoes
- Move that body
- 30 minutes a day of physical activity boosts the metabolism
- walk, jog, swim
- play outdoor sports like tennis, pickleball, or soccer
- schedule workouts as you would a doctors appointment
- hold yourself accountable by scheduling with a friend or neighbor
- Eat Smaller Meals
- Portion size makes a difference
- smaller meals eaten more frequently help improve digestion
- focus on healthy snacks such as 1/4 avocado, celery, and apple slices
- enjoy raw nuts such as walnuts, almonds, or cashews (about 7-8 nuts equals one serving)
- Enjoy meals earlier in the day
- set a goal to consume your highest calorie meal earlier in the day, at lunch, for example
- try not to eat past 7:30pm most days of the week

- Halibut, salmon, and seabass are terrific sea options
- Filet mignon and bison are my go-to for meat lovers
- Fill up with fiber
- Fiber in foods acts like a “broom” swooshing out toxins and fat
- Include fiber-filled foods at every meal
- Snacks: think apples, celery, even steamed broccoli
- Meals: include a variety of beans, organic corn, oats, dark leafy greens including arugula, and fresh fruits
