Baked Chicken in Tomato Chili Pepper Sauce
Boneless, skinless chicken breasts are the star of this recipe. The delicious flavor comes from spicy chili powder, hot sauce, and red pepper flakes. Want more heat? Add more spice!
A meal the entire family will enjoy. And, it is healthy, too. Spices increase metabolism. Fiber from bell peppers and tomatoes aid in digestion. Plus, antioxidants and immune boosting properties from garlic, lemon, and onion.
Sauce Suggestions:
- Add capers for extra flavor, color and texture
- Garnish with fresh basil, chives, or freshly chopped Italian parsley
- Use leftover or extra sauce as a dipping sauce for stuffed wontons, fish, empanadas, and pork dishes
