Grilled Chicken Drumsticks with 5 Sauces
*Sriracha Lime Sauce recipe included here. Other Sauce recipes posted separately. Click on the links for each recipe.
Whether summer, fall, football season or any season, chicken drumsticks are a quick, healthy and delicious food that can be enjoyed as an entree or as an appetizer. In this recipe, skinless chicken drumsticks are used. If skinless drumsticks are not available, purchase with skin on and remove the skin at home. Removing the skin helps reduce the fat content, calories, and results in a more intense grilled chicken flavor. The 5 different sauce options make this recipe a crowd pleaser, kids included!
Chicken drumsticks, also referred to as drummettes, can be cooked on an outdoor grill or cooked inside using an iron skillet. I love using iron skillets. Iron skillets provide depth of flavor and create the look of foods cooked on the grill. For optimal indoor grill appearance, use an iron grill pan. Have questions about how to clean iron skillets and pans? View my quick video, here: IRON SKILLET COOKING
SAUCE OPTIONS:
- Sriracha Lime (recipe below)
- Cilantro Pesto
- Sesame Honey Glaze
- Dill Sauce
- Dijon Glaze
Having a fun gathering at home? Make all 5 sauces and have a dipping party. This recipe allows for 8 drumsticks. Depending upon the size of the drumstick, this recipe serves 4 adults, 2 large drumsticks. Recommendations include doubling the recipes for the dry marinade and sauces when serving additional adults and children. Make dry marinade and sauces ahead of time for a true quick and easy meal!
