When setting new goals for lifestyle change, one thing is for certain… you must take action. Vision, desire, goal setting are all part of change but real change only begins with action. The second step in the 30-Day Bikini Body Challenge is taking charge of the foods that are in our pantry and our refrigerator. Open the door; what do you see? Do you see fresh, nuturing ingredients or cabinets filled with snack crackers and chips? Those bikini-body sabotaging foods… out they go and here’s why:
If it’s in your house, you are guaranteed to eat it. It doesn’t take a research analyst to prove this statement. From my personal experience, and most likely yours, too, if you buy it at the store and bring it home with you, 9 times out of 10, you are going to eat it. Now is the time to clean out ALL of the high sugar, high sodium processed foods in your pantry and refrigerator – or at minimum, the day before we actually begin the Challenge on January 15th. We will be replacing these bikini sabotaging foods with fresh foods and healthier “The Bikini Chef® Approved” foods and snack options.
Foods that go to the local food bank, neighbor or trash can:
*All crackers, snack chips, pretzels, corn chips, and tortilla chips
*All breads including hot dog and hamburger buns
*All rice and pastas
*Cookies, candy, and snacks like Pop-tarts that are not “The Bikini Chef® Approved”
*Sugary cereals
*High sugar processed jams and jellies
*Canned and bottled sodas!
*High sugar fruit juices from concentrate
*Bottled sugary salad dressings
*Bottled creamy salad dressings
*High fat cheeses
*Pre-packaged meals that are not “The Bikini Chef® Approved”
*Packaged frozen pizzas that are not “The Bikini Chef® Approved”
*White baking potatoes and red “new” potatoes
*Red meat proteins (we will not be eating any red meat for 30 days)
*Alcoholic beverages (we will not be consuming any alcohol for 30 days)
The above listed foods will be replaced with items such as these:
*Fresh fruits such as avocado, berries, apples, pears, and kiwi
*Fresh vibrant colored vegetables such as red bell peppers, spinach, kale, mixed greens, squash, asparagus, and bok choy
*Raw or roasted nuts and seeds
*Lean proteins of chicken, turkey, and fish. Pork, in moderation
*Water and naturally flavored water will replace juices
*Almond milk
*Homemade salad dressings

You do not have to do the 3-Day cleanse to benefit from the 30-Day Challenge. However, we are choosing to do the 3-Day Organic Cleanse in order to jump start the detox process in our bodies. Should you choose to do the 3-Day cleanse, please consult your doctor first. If you choose to do the cleanse and your doctor approves, I suggest you carefully review each cleanse option to decide which one you feel you prefer.
Following the 3-Day Organic Cleanse, we will be following a strict diet for the next 25 days which emphasizes fresh foods, whole grains, and excludes red meat, alcohol, sodas, sugar, desserts other than high cocoa dark chocolate, and limits caffeine intake to a maximum of one cup of coffee per day.
