A fun breakfast treat for kids and adults, these traditional pancakes pack extra fiber by using whole wheat flour.

Whole wheat pancakes are prepared in the classic pancake style and use whole wheat flour and cinnamon for delicious flavor. Top with fresh fruits and honey or the traditional maple syrup.

Whole wheat pancakes
Breakfast & Brunch
Whole wheat pancakes are prepared in the traditional pancake style and use whole wheat flour and cinnamon for delicious flavor

Ingredients

2 cups whole wheat flour
4 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons cinnamon
2 teaspoons sugar
2 large eggs
2 cups + 2 tablespoons fat-free milk
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Butter for cooking

Instructions

Mix all DRY ingredients in a bowl.
Add WET ingredients to the mixing bowl and mix well with a spoon until there are no more dry spots.
Heat a non-stick skillet on medium heat.
Melt a tablespoon butter in the skillet and pour in 1/4 cup of pancake batter.
When the pancake starts to bubble, flip and cook an additional 20 to 30 seconds.
Serve with maple syrup, fresh berries, or your favorite topping.
